The actress reveals that she and superstar husband Daniel Craig have a deal not to discuss their roles with each other, because even if you are 007 it is just way too dull.

She says of their relationship: “I don’t talk about my work, and nor does he. It’s very private.

“There is nothing worse than two actors getting together and talking about acting. It’s like the end — it’s the worst.”

Rachel, 42, and Daniel, 44, first met in 1994 when they co-starred in a steamy play in London, but fell in love when they co-starred in US thriller Dream House in 2010.

They married in June 2011 in New York, where they now live with six-year-old Henry, Rachel’ s son by her former fiancé, Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky.

And the Oscar-winning star says being married feels very different from the sort of long-term relationship she had with her ex.

She says: “It’s different being married than living with your partner. There is a contract.

“You don’t necessarily have to think about respecting the rules, but it is just there. It’s in your heart, it’s not like a piece of paper.”

While last year was a huge one for her husband, with Skyfall becoming the UK’s biggest-ever box office hit, this year looks to be promising for Rachel.

She stars in Wizard Of Oz prequel Oz: The Great And Powerful, tipped to be a blockbuster when it opens here on March 8.

And, for a change, this time Rachel — known for her roles in The Mummy and The Bourne Legacy — is playing a baddie in the fantasy adventure.

In fact, her character is no less than the Wicked Witch of the East.
